Dear Friends:

I am happy, (actually more than happy, more like ecstatic) to announce that my new CD The Price of Art, is now available.

I have learned a lot about producing a CD in a professional environment. It is very much like doing a house remodel. It always takes longer and costs more than anyone expected or planned for. I learned it is harder than it looks. I learned that things you never thought about or even knew existed, like color conversion, can cause real problems and delays. I learned that Capital Studios has real concrete catacombs for reverb chambers, and security really does look under your car for bombs. I learned that even pianos that cost over one hundred grand can have their limits. I also learned perfection can only be achieved by powers greater than our own.

Although this is a solo piano album; it is not a solo effort. "The "Price of Art" was crafted by many hands, (and ears). The people who worked on this project are as much as part of the music as the strings on the instrument. I can not express enough appreciation to everyone involved.

Some of you have already noticed that the cover photo is a homeless person contemplating something. I am not making a statement about homelessness. It is more about the risk one takes when pursuing that which is so elusive. Every choice we make, has a price.
